M Syafiq Nor Shaidi is an experienced financial adviser with over 15 years of expertise in the financial advisory industry. He began his career at Phillip Securities in 2010 and joined Avallis in 2015, specializing in comprehensive financial planning and wealth management for mass affluent individuals and senior professionals.

Syafiq provides counsel across a broad spectrum of financial planning, including decumulation strategies, complex insurance, and inheritance issues. He is also experienced in advising HNW clients on family office matters and works closely with international trust companies and tax advisors.

His clientele spans international markets, including the UK, UAE, India, and Malaysia.

Some career highlights include his work with Yayasan Mendaki / SENSE from 2012 to 2020, where he developed financial content and presented for the PBB program and Financial Toolkit series. He also designed an estate planning framework for Pergas Investment Holdings from 2015 to 2017, which was featured in The Straits Times and Berita Harian.

In 2013, Syafiq contributed to the establishment of Meerkat Asia Fund, a long/short global macro fund, overseeing operational and compliance aspects.

In 2018, he served as a judge for the Hult Prize, evaluating global social enterprise startups in a competition supported by the United Nations.

Beyond his professional achievements, Syafiq obtained a Private Pilot License from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) through the Singapore Youth Flying Club in 2004.
